Dr. Michael Precure was born in Muleshoe, Texas and raised on the family farm in the small west Texas farming communities of Lazbuddie, Texas and Muleshoe. He graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1986 and joined the US Navy where he served as an anti-submarine warfare specialist and a rescue swimmer. In 1989 he fell in love with and married a beautiful west Texas girl from Hereford; Laura Osburn. He began his studies at West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas after serving in the Navy and matriculated to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas in the fall of 1992 after three solid years of undergraduate work. He graduated in 1995 and started practicing chiropractic in his home town of Muleshoe. In early January 2006, he and his family moved to beautiful Alamogordo, New Mexico to take over this office from Dr. Clay Salyer.
Dr. and Laura Precure have three children: Stuart, Madeleine, and Rachael, and two yorkie-poos: Sadie and Ollie. Dr. Precure enjoys the outdoors where he likes to hunt, hike, and camp. He also likes to snow ski, water ski, and scuba dive. In the past, he has been president of the Muleshoe Lions Club, vice president of the Muleshoe Rotary Club, vice president of the Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce, and president of the Muleshoe Youth Basketball League. He has also donated his time coaching youth in basketball, softball, and baseball. He and his family attend worship services at First Assembly Worship Center where an active Christian lifestyle remains at the forefront of his life. Currently, his oldest child, Stuart, is enrolled in Chiropractic School at Parker College. His oldest daughter, Madeleine, is pursing her education at The University of New Mexico and his youngest daughter, Rachael, is a senior at Alamogordo High School.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Consultation & Examination
You will have a 1 on 1 visit with the doctor to discuss your health concerns and the reason for your visit. After your initial health consultation, we’ll perform a complete & comprehensive chiropractic exam.
X-rays
A series of X-rays may be needed to allow us to clearly determine a proper care plan. X-rays provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the position of the spinal bones, as well as the quality of the spine and the safety of adjusting it. We also use X-rays to determine how long a spinal condition has been developing.
Report of Findings
Your report of findings will be scheduled the day after your Initial Consultation. This will allow for your doctor to study your exam findings, at which point we will share the results that we found with you. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you, if you choose. Your Report of Findings includes a detailed analysis of what you need in order to solve the problem that brought you into our office and what can be done in order to assure that it won’t happen again. We consider your current lifestyle choices, goals for the future and challenges that are standing in your way. This is why our recommendations are extremely comprehensive and have the chance to be the solution that you have been seeking to find.
Ongoing
Our entire staff strives to keep waiting times to a minimum, so we ask that all patients be prompt for their appointments so we can stay on track. Your adjustments will be given by the doctor, then anything else done during that visit will depend on the doctor’s recommendations. Stretching, exercise instruction, or other advice, may be given as part of the doctor’s plan for you. Questions are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. Knowledge is power.
